Perma-Fix Environmental Services (PESI) has launched its first commercial Perma-FAS system for destroying PFAS, or "forever chemicals," at its Florida facility. This system, operational since October 28th, achieves over 99.99% PFAS breakdown by treating waste at a controlled low temperature and pressure. Capable of processing about 650 gallons of PFAS-containing materials per cycle, Perma-Fix aims to expand capacity, enhance efficiency, and deploy larger systems by mid-2025.
LiqTech International (LIQT) has formed a joint venture with Jiangsu Marine Equipment Co. (JiTRI) to supply membrane-based water treatment equipment for China’s marine market. The new entity will combine LiqTech’s filtration technology with JiTRI's local resources to meet the rising demand for water treatment in exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems on ships.
