Cathie Wood's ARK Invest has made its first investment in Oklo (OKLO), a small modular reactor (SMR) startup, by purchasing 281,490 shares valued at approximately $2.4 million through its ARKQ exchange-traded fund. The company is developing small reactors, aiming to have its first operational by 2027 at the Idaho National Laboratory. Its Aurora reactor uses nuclear waste as fuel and is expected to be commercialized by 2025, with support from the U.S. Department of Energy.
LiqTech International (LIQT) has delivered a commercial pilot unit for filtering oil and gas-produced water to National Energy Services Reunited (NESR) in the Middle East. The "PureFlow®" system will be tested in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to demonstrate the effectiveness of LiqTech's technology for re-injecting and reusing produced water. LiqTech also operates a full-scale test unit in the Middle East that has successfully treated over 99% of feedwater into clean brine/permeate for reinjection since May 2022.
Ecolomondo Corporation (ECM) has finalized a $3 million loan agreement with Export Development Canada (EDC) to support its Hawkesbury, Ontario facility. This loan is in addition to a previously restructured $32.1 million loan from 2019, adjusted to $37.9 million in 2023, which financed the construction of Ecolomondo’s turnkey thermal decomposition plant for recycling end-of-life tires.
Plug Power (PLUG) has announced a $200 million public offering of its common stock, with an additional $30 million available for underwriters within 30 days. Plug Power is a leader in the hydrogen economy, with extensive deployments and plans for green hydrogen production.
