DevvStream (DEVS) has launched a new business line, DevvStream for Commerce, to promote carbon offset sales through B2B and B2B2C channels. The first initiative, D-PIVOT (DevvStream Personal Impact Voluntary Offset Tool), allows Shopify-hosted e-commerce shoppers to purchase verified carbon offsets during checkout to counteract emissions from product shipping.
BluSky Carbon (BSKY.CN) has achieved certification for its biochar production, confirming it meets global quality standards for carbon credit transactions. The biochar, produced using the Vulcan Heavy system, features low contaminant levels and high carbon stability, making it suitable for existing and future offtake agreements.
Sydney Water has selected Montrose Environmental Group (MEG) to install its PFAS mobile treatment system at the Cascade Water Filtration Plant near Sydney, Australia. This system will address PFAS contamination detected in June 2024 and help reduce PFAS levels in drinking water below the limits proposed in the draft Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, which are set to be finalized in 2025.
Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSE) and FlexGen Power Systems have partnered to develop America’s first fully integrated, domestically manufactured battery energy storage solution (BESS) for long-duration applications. The collaboration combines Eos’ Z3™ batteries with FlexGen’s HybridOS™ Energy Management System (EMS), targeting a project pipeline of over 50 GWh.
GreenPower Motor (GP) has secured three orders for 11 Type D all-electric, zero-emission BEAST school buses, destined for school districts in Arizona, California, and Oregon. The orders include seven buses for Los Banos Unified School District (California), two for Casa Grande Elementary School District (Arizona), and two for Hood River County School District (Oregon).
Zapp Electric Vehicles Group (ZAPP) has launched a new microfactory in the Bangkok Free Trade Zone ahead of schedule, in partnership with AIH Group. The 12,000-square-foot facility can produce up to 20,000 electric two-wheelers annually, including the i300 model.
Verity Holdings, a subsidiary of Gevo Inc. (GEVO), has partnered with Midwest Renewable Energy (MRE), a Nebraska-based ethanol producer, to serve as its carbon accounting platform. MRE will use Verity’s tools to track carbon intensity across its operations, participate in low-carbon fuel programs, and access additional monetization opportunities, including voluntary carbon markets.
